Access to Research Advocacy Scheme (pre-PhD applicant mentoring)

In this webinar you will find out about the The Access to Research (A2R) Advocacy Scheme, puts individuals from underrepresented and minoritised groups, who are interested in studying for a PhD, in touch with an academic or PhD application specialist to help:

• Increase their confidence in approaching supervisors
• Improve their knowledge of the PhD application process
• Create a unique and relevant research proposal (if required)
• Make a high quality application for a PhD

Hear from advocates and applicants from the pioneering scheme, which has already supported applicants into PhD study, at Leeds and other UK universities includin Cambridge, Sheffield and Edinburgh.

The Advocacy Scheme is developed from the initial scheme run by the Yorkshire Consortium for Equity in Doctoral Education (YCEDE). More information about that scheme can be found here.
