Partnerships

The Access Project supports under-resourced young people to access top universities, including the University of Leeds, through their unique programme of mentoring, skills coaching, and tuition. They work with schools across the country, supporting over 2,000 young people aged 14-18.

The Brilliant Club seeks to mobilise the PhD community to engage with state schools and support talented pupils from underrepresented backgrounds to progress to highly-selective universities.

We work with In2scienceUK through their In2STEM programme - providing summer placements with STEM colleagues from across the University for Y12 students from under-represented communities.

The University of Leeds and IntoUniversity have partnered for over a decade to support young people in Leeds through three local learning centres and projects. Together, we provide academic support, mentoring, in-school and campus-based outreach activities that have helped over 14,000 students from underrepresented backgrounds to progress to higher education and understand their future opportunities.

The Linacre Institute gives northern state-school students the confidence to apply to leading universities, and the skills to thrive there.

Realising Opportunities is a unique collaboration of leading, research-intensive universities, working together to promote fair access for those groups under-represented in higher education.

The Sutton Trust is a social mobility charity that aims to affect change through programmes for students including summer schools, sustained Pathways schemes, the Sutton Trust Online scheme, and alumni networks and support. Their work is informed by their own research, which they also use to influence and drive change in government and educational policy. At Leeds, we collaborate with Sutton Trust through the Pathways to Law programme.

The Tutor Trust is a registered charity which aims to help tackle educational inequality. Their mission is to 'transform lives through tutoring', by making sure every child who needs some additional academic support can access a great tutor.

We are proud to partner with WithInsight Education to deliver the Insight2Uni mentoring programme; a targeted initiative supporting black-heritage Year 12 students to explore and access higher education. Through this collaboration, current Leeds undergraduates provide tailored, subject-specific mentoring, helping to build confidence, raise aspirations, and support informed decision-making. This strategic partnership reflects our shared commitment to equity, representation, and long-term impact in widening participation.
