Primary Schools
Most of the activities delivered by our access and outreach teams are focussed on secondary and college aged students, however we do deliver a small number of activities for primary aged learners:
- We work with the national charity, IntoUniversity, to support local primary aged students in the Leeds City Region to aspire to a future in higher education.
- The Primary School Network at the University of Leeds connect local schools with exciting opportunities to bring learning and engagement to life.
- Our Health Sciences Outreach Team have worked with academic colleagues from the Faculty of Medicine and Health to design a number of learning packages for use by teachers and educators to address misconceptions and stereotypes of a career in healthcare, which you can explore below

The Primary School Network at the University of Leeds works with teachers and school staff across Leeds to make it easy to access the right people, projects and support from the University.
Your school can get involved through:
• Curriculum-linked classroom visits: meet our researchers and explore real-world topics in an engaging, hands-on way.
• Students into school placements: free educational support from our trained student volunteers.
• Sport opportunities: sessions led on campus or in your school.
• Taking part in research: contribute to studies that help shape future learning and wellbeing.

Students into Schools
Students into Schools is the University of Leeds’ school placement programme. Since the scheme was launched, more than 6,000 students have worked with local state schools to:
