What is Leeds Futures - English/History?

Choose to focus on English or History or try both!

Our English/History programme is designed to inspire and support Year 12 students interested in studying English and/or History related courses at university. You can learn about English and/or History courses as well as other subjects you can combine as joint honours degrees. You will also find out about student life and meet our current English and History students.

Applications for 2026 are now closed, applications for 2027 will open in Autumn 2026.

What’s included in the English/History programme?

In year 12, you will be able to take part in a number of different sessions. Our Online Welcome takes place on the 11th of March, followed by a Campus Day on the 27th of March. There will be Online Discovery Tasters in April and Progression to University Online Sessions in May and June. From Year 13, you will take part in further online sessions covering 'Why Leeds?', 'Student Finance', 'Exam Study Skills', 'Student Life' and 'Preparation for University'.
