Engineering
Representing the School of Electronic & Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Chemical & Process Engineering, students are invited to gain an insight into engineering disciplines with access to world leading facilities, current students and academics. The programme includes activity for school groups and individuals from Year 7 - 12, delivered in-school, on campus and online.

Activity for 2025/26
Celebrating Women in STEM
On 6 March 2026, this campus event invites school groups to meet female and nonbinary post graduate researchers working in STEM and Engineering disciplines. Students will take part in a series of practical workshops and campus tour.
Girls into Electronics
On 1 July 2026, this campus event for school groups invites Year 10-12 girls to take part in a series of practical workshops, meet current students studying Electronics, and receive a campus tour. Sponsored by Apple, an industry professional will deliver a mini lecture and Q&A.
Launch4Change
For school groups, this project invites a small groups to take part in UKROC competition on 21 and 22 April 2026 at Elvington Airfield, York. Materials and travel will be funded by the programme. Current undergraduates will visit students in school to design and build their own rockets from November 2025 - March 2026.
