Girls into Electronics

Girls into Electronics is a campus event exploring electronics, and is delivered in partnership with UKESF. The event has now taken place for 2026.
Students will find out more about Electronics and explore what it's like to study the subject at university level, hear from female graduate engineers working in the Electronics sector, and get hands-on experience with Arduino microcontrollers.
Female and non-binary students currently studying Maths and Physics are encouraged to attend. School groups are invited to bring up 10 students per school.
The event is free of charge with places funded by The School of Electronic & Electrical Engineering. Lunch will be provided on the day.
Workshop details
During the Campus Day, students will take part in two practical activities. The first workshop will include using Arduino microcontrollers. In the second workshop, students will work to build their own remote controlled cars.
